Straightforward answers about pricing, ownership, updates, SEO, and what working together looks like.
How does your pricing work?
I keep pricing simple so it is easy to choose what fits your business right now. You can do a $3,800 lump-sum build if you want to own the finished website files, a $175/mo managed website plan with no setup fee, or a custom ecommerce build starting at $8k.
What is included in the $175/mo plan?
You get a custom website with up to 5 pages, mobile-friendly design, help connecting your domain, basic Google setup, hosting, maintenance, and unlimited standard edits. You can send changes over whenever you need them instead of having another login or website chore on your plate.
Is there a setup fee?
No. The standard monthly plan is $175/mo with no setup fee, which makes it easier to get started without a big upfront bill.
What is the difference between lump sum and monthly?
Lump sum is the ownership route: you pay for the build and own the completed website files after final payment. Monthly is the lower-upfront managed route: I host, maintain, update, and support the site while the subscription is active.
Can I buy out the website later?
Yes. If the monthly plan is working well but you later decide you would rather own the website files outright, we can work out a written buyout. Monthly payments do not count dollar-for-dollar toward ownership, but 50% of the monthly website payments you have made can be credited toward the buyout.
Do monthly payments count toward the buyout?
They can help reduce it, but they do not automatically turn the monthly plan into ownership. The monthly plan covers the active website, hosting, edits, and support. If you want to buy out the site, 50% of the monthly website payments you have made can be applied as a credit toward the agreed buyout price.
Can I start small and add more later?
Yes. The $175/mo plan is meant to be an easy starting point for a strong small-business website. You can start with the core pages you need now, then add more pages, sections, blog content, or bigger features later when it makes sense.
How long does the monthly subscription last?
The monthly plan has a 12-month minimum because most of the design and build work happens upfront. After that, it keeps going month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days written notice.
What happens after the minimum term?
Nothing complicated happens. Your plan simply continues month to month, and you can keep the site live, keep sending updates, and keep getting support for as long as it is helpful.
What happens if I cancel?
If you cancel, the monthly website service, hosting, updates, and support stop. Your domain still belongs to you. If you would like to keep the website itself, we can talk through a buyout before anything changes.
Do I own the website?
You always own your domain, content, photos, logo, and business assets. The monthly plan is a fully managed website service, so I take care of the site while you are subscribed. If you ever want to move away from the plan and keep the website files, we can talk through a buyout option.
Do I own my domain?
Yes, always. Your domain is yours. If you already have one, it stays with you. If you need help setting one up, I will make sure it is registered under your name.
Is SEO included?
Yes, the basics are included. Your site gets clean page titles, descriptions, fast performance, sitemap setup, and a search-friendly structure. Bigger ongoing SEO work like citations, review strategy, and content campaigns can be added separately when you are ready.
Can you help my business show up locally?
Yes. Every small-business site is built with local search in mind, including fast pages, clear structure, local wording where it makes sense, and the right technical foundation for Google to understand the business.
Do you help with Google Business Profile?
Light Google Business Profile support can be included with the monthly plan, especially for basics like making sure your website, contact info, and business details line up. Deeper local SEO or ongoing Google posts can be added separately.
What counts as unlimited edits?
Unlimited standard edits cover the normal updates most small businesses need, like changing text, swapping photos, adding events, updating hours, or adjusting store or service info. Bigger changes such as new pages, new features, redesigns, or larger SEO projects can be quoted separately before any work starts.
Do you use WordPress or page builders?
No. I build custom, lightweight websites without bulky page-builder systems. That helps keep your site fast, secure, and easier for me to maintain for you.
How long does a normal website take?
Most standard small-business sites take 2-3 weeks, depending on how quickly content, access, and feedback come together. Ecommerce and larger custom projects take longer, and I will walk you through the timeline before we start.
What if I do not have photos or copy yet?
That is completely fine. I can help shape the written content, organize the page structure, and use strong starter visuals while we figure out what photos or brand assets you want to use long term.
Do you offer ecommerce on the monthly plan?
Not on the standard $175/mo website plan, because ecommerce usually needs more planning around products, payments, shipping, taxes, and fulfillment. Custom Shopify stores start at $8k, and I can quote the scope around what your store actually needs.
